The article “From Pigs to People: The Emergence of a New Superbug” was published in the News Focus of Science 27, August 2010. It focuses on Prof Andreas Voss and his research on MRSA.

3 June, 2010. EFSA has published the part B report on the first EU-wide survey on MRSA in breeding pigs. This part contains a risk factor analysis for MRSA contaminantion of breeding and production holdings. 24 Nov 2009. EFSA publishes results of the first survey on MRSA in pigs in EU. EFSA has published the first EU-wide survey on MRSA in breeding pigs. The results indicate that MRSA, a bacterium resistant to many antibiotics, is commonly detected in holdings with breeding pigs in some EU Member States.
